New stockpot, pretty good

Needed a new stockpot for soups, so I checked out Robins Kitchen online. Found a nice big one that seemed like a good deal. It took about a week to get to my place in Sydney, which was fine. Used it already, worked well. No complaints. I'd probably shop there again if I need more kitchen stuff.

Great Baccarat knives, fast shipping

I ordered a Baccarat Damashiro knife set last week and it already arrived today! I was so excited to get them. The knives are fantastic, super sharp and look amazing in my kitchen. The free gift I got with the purchase was a nice bonus too. I'll definitely be buying more from Robins Kitchen, maybe some bakeware next time. I'm telling all my friends about this store!

My new Baccarat Stone roasting pan arrived chipped. It was a boxing day sale purchase. How's the return policy at Robins Kitchen for faulty items? Do I need to pay for return shipping?

S SteveP 4 days ago
I had a faulty toaster a while back. They were pretty good about it. Just make sure you have your order number and photos ready.

A AnnaL 4 days ago
Is it a big chip? Sometimes they might just send a replacement without needing the old one back, depends on the value.

J JennyF 4 days ago
It's a decent size, definitely affects usage.

R RachelG 4 days ago
For faulty items, they should definitely cover return shipping. I had to return a cracked mixing bowl once and they sent a pre-paid label. Just contact customer service with photos.

Good to know their process for that.

Oh, that's a relief! Thanks, I'll do that.

Got a Baccarat ID3 chef knife and it's amazing. But I'm looking for a good knife sharpener now. Robins Kitchen has a few, but not sure which type to go for. Any recommendations for keeping these knives sharp?

M MichaelP 1 week ago
Don't use a cheap electric one, they can ruin a good blade. Maybe a ceramic rod sharpener? That's what I use for my Wusthofs.

For good quality knives like the ID3s, I'd suggest a whetstone over those pull-through sharpeners. Takes a bit more practice but gives a much better edge and is less damaging long term. They sell decent ones there.

O OliviaJ 1 week ago
Oh, a whetstone? I've never used one, looks intimidating.

S SophieT 1 week ago
There are heaps of YouTube tutorials though!

I use the Baccarat brand pull-through sharpener they had as a free gift with purchase once. It's okay for quick touch-ups but not for a really dull blade. Probably not ideal for your good knife.

O OliviaJ 1 week ago
Yeah, I want something that's actually good for the blade.

Finally decided to upgrade my old knife set. Ordered the Baccarat Damashiro Kiru 7 piece set during the Afterpay Day sale. Delivery estimation was 3-7 business days. Anyone had recent experience with their shipping times?

J JessW 1 week ago
I ordered an air fryer during the last big sale and it took almost 8 days. They were probably swamped. For knives, it might be faster though.
5
T TomH 1 week ago
Mine took closer to 6 days for some dinnerware. Depends on what you ordered and where you are, I guess. You can usually track it on their site though.
12
S SarahM 1 week ago
Good to know, thanks.
8
R RyanP 1 week ago
Yeah, the tracking is active, just showing 'processed'.

M MiaC 1 week ago
I got a new saucepan set from them last month. It came in 4 business days, and I'm in regional VIC. Was pretty happy with that speed.

That's quick! Hopefully mine is similar.

My Robins Kitchen promo code isn't working for a Baccarat knife block. It's supposed to be a percentage off, but just shows full price at checkout. Anyone had this issue?

S SophieP 3 weeks ago
I had a similar problem with a 'free gift with purchase' offer. Ended up contacting customer service and they manually applied it for me. Might be worth a shot.
3
A AlexF 3 weeks ago
How long did it take for them to get back to you?
4
M MarkT 3 weeks ago
Oh, that's a good idea. I'll try them if I can't figure it out.
5
D DanielW 3 weeks ago
Sometimes codes are for first-time buyers only. Is this your first order from them?
0
M MarkT 3 weeks ago
Nah, I've ordered before. This was from a newsletter signup.
5
E EmilyR 3 weeks ago
Are you sure it applies to Baccarat? Sometimes those codes exclude specific brands or sale items. Check the fine print.
8
M MarkT 3 weeks ago
Good point. It just said 'sitewide' but I'll double check.

Just got the Baccarat Stone Frypan set from Robins Kitchen's mid-year sale. The non-stick coating feels different from my old one. Anyone else using these? How durable are they in the long run?

D David87 1 month ago
I've got a couple of the Baccarat Stone pieces, including a frypan. They're decent for the price, especially on sale. Just make sure you're not using metal utensils, that'll mess up any non-stick pretty quickly.

S SarahM 1 month ago
Always plastic for me!

C ChloeS 1 month ago
Mine started losing its non-stick after about a year of heavy use. Not terrible, but not forever. Still better than some other brands I've tried.

O OliviaJ 1 month ago
Agreed, depends on how much you cook too.
7
M MattG 1 month ago
Hmm, a year isn't bad for a non-stick.

I grabbed the Baccarat Stone Casserole dish during their Mother's Day specials. So far, it's been pretty good. Nothing sticking yet, and easy to clean. I've had it for about 4 months now.

L LiamP 1 month ago
Yeah, mine too. Fingers crossed for this one.

Good to know! My last non-stick scratched so easily.

Considering getting a food processor from Robins Kitchen. Any recommendations between the bigger brands they stock? Mostly for baking prep and veggie chopping.

C ChrisJ 2 weeks ago
I got the Kenwood food processor from them last year during a Black Friday deal. It's a beast! Handles dough really well and the different attachments are super useful for chopping. Bit pricey but worth it if you use it a lot.
3
L LisaG 2 weeks ago
Thanks! I'm leaning towards a Kenwood or Breville.
6
C ChloeM 2 weeks ago
How's it for cleaning?
5
N NicoleB 2 weeks ago
I have a Breville one, also from Robins Kitchen. It's powerful, but the bowl can be a bit tricky to lock in sometimes. Does a good job with everything else though.
5
L LisaG 2 weeks ago
Oh, the locking mechanism is important. Thanks for that heads-up.

Following. I need one too for my Christmas baking.

Hey, thinking of getting one of those Baccarat knife blocks. Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to Melbourne? Need it before a housewarming next month.

J Josh 3 months ago
Mine took about a week to get to regional Vic, so Melbourne should be quicker. Probably fine for your housewarming, just order soon.
1
M Marcus 3 months ago
Yeah, I ordered a set of pans last month, got them in about 5 business days to the outer suburbs. They're usually pretty good with delivery times inside Australia.

Quick question about their free gift offers, like the Baccarat ones. Do those automatically apply or do I need a code for them?

C Colin M. 3 months ago
Usually, the free gifts just add to your cart once you hit the spend requirement or buy the specific item. I got a bonus pan last time without needing a code.
5
M Mike 3 months ago
Yeah, if it's one of their main Baccarat free gift promos, it usually just appears in your cart once you've added the qualifying items. Check the product page details though, just in case there's a specific instruction.
